CAE Welcomes 7 New Board Members
In conjunction with the start of its 2022 fiscal year November 1, the Cadets Arts & Entertainment (CAE) Board of Directors voted in seven new members.
"When we started our new organization in April of 2020, our original members wanted to make sure that we set up a process to ensure that the Board always adds new perspectives and capabilities," said Mark Herzing, Board Chairperson.
"Our 2022 recruiting effort was successful beyond our wildest expectations!" Herzing continued. "The talent, commitment, and diversity of the individuals who responded to our call for new Board members was exceptional. All the respondents were highly qualified, and it was a challenge to select the final slate of candidates. This community of alumni, volunteers, donors, and fans continues to pull together to build a safe, sustainable, and successful future for The Cadets," he said.

The Class of 2022 was selected from a pool of talented candidates following a search process that focused on adding skills in education program development, public relations and marketing, and business management to the Board of CAE. The seven new Directors will serve three-year terms. They join 12 current Board members for the upcoming fiscal year.
“We are humbled and honored by the number of passionate and dedicated people who applied to be part of this class” stated Denise Bonfiglio, CEO of CAE and a member of the Board. “While we could not select every applicant at this time, we will continuously evaluate our requirements to ensure the Board has the skills and knowledge needed to build a bright future for The Cadets.”
As we welcome the arrival of new Directors, CAE also acknowledges the service of departed Directors, Fred Bateman, Tom Maiello, and Eric Sabach.
“Fred, Tom, and Eric brought a wealth of experience and knowledge in the marching arts and contributed to the growth of CAE as a start-up organization,” stated Herzing. “I am grateful for their time and sacrifices made in helping to create a new organization to sponsor The Cadets, and I wish them all the best in their future endeavors."
